Terms and Conditions

Version 1.0 — last updated 20 September 2026.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Ask the Buyer ("we", "us", "our"), askthebuyer.co.uk. You can contact us at hello@askthebuyer.co.uk. Registered business address: [Business address to be added before go-live].

2. Agreement to these terms

By using this website, our free tools, or by registering for the Tender Build Tier, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force is the one published on this page.

3. Accounts and the Tender Build Tier

The Tender Build Tier is a subscription giving a named user access to the member tools at /tender-build. You must give accurate registration details, keep your password confidential, and not share your login. Accounts are for one business user; we may suspend accounts that are shared or used in breach of these terms.

You must be at least 18 years old and registering on behalf of a business. Consumer cancellation rights do not normally apply to business-to-business purchases.

4. Fees, renewals and cancellation

Subscription fees, billing period and any one-off service fees are shown at the point of purchase. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and fees already paid are not refundable except where required by law.

5. How the tools work, and their limits

Several tools use artificial intelligence to draft text from the information you provide. Output is a draft, not professional advice. You are responsible for checking every fact, figure, date and claim before sending anything to a buyer, and for making sure your submission meets the requirements of the tender you are bidding for.

Contract and framework information is drawn from public sources such as Contracts Finder and Find a Tender. We take care to present it accurately but we cannot guarantee it is complete or current. Always verify against the buyer's own notice before acting.

We do not guarantee that you will win any contract, framework place or piece of work.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the material you paste in or upload. You grant us a limited licence to process it so we can provide the tools to you. You must not upload material that is confidential to someone else without permission, that you have no right to share, or that is unlawful.

7. Our content

The site, its training material, templates, frameworks (including the ARISE Framework) and all related intellectual property belong to us. You may use outputs generated for your own business bids. You may not resell, republish or redistribute our material, or use it to build a competing service.

8. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, scrape, overload or reverse engineer the site, do not use it to generate misleading or fraudulent bid content, and do not use automated means to extract data beyond our published interfaces.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the service available but we do not promise uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may carry out maintenance without notice.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost contracts, lost bids, lost data or indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11. Ending your access

You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@askthebuyer.co.uk. We may end or suspend access if you breach these terms or fail to pay.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
